Cooking Classes

Founder and Director of Marin V.E.G., Patti Breitman offers cooking classes a number of times each year. Each class takes advantage of the best available produce to show off the flavors, colors, and creative recipes of the changing seasons. The focus of her classes is on easy preparations, and nutritionally powerful foods that taste delicious.

How to Eat Like a Vegetarian, Even If You Never Want To Be One

Check the Marin VEG newsletter or the San Anselmo Recreation Department calendar to learn about upcoming classes. Visit the Town of San Anselmo's Website or call 258 4669.

Here is a typical announcement for her classes:

Patti Breitman is the co-author of How to Eat Like a Vegetarian, Even If You Never Want To Be One and a former food columnist and book review editor for VegNews magazine. She has also been an editor of health and cookbooks. During the class she will demonstrate preparation of simple, delicious, healthful, seasonal foods which participants will taste at the end of the class. Additionally, she will display and critique a wide array of cookbooks and vegetarian convenience foods that are available in most local stores. Participants will go home with recipes, cookbook recommendations, a new understanding of plant-based nutrition, and the confidence and skills to prepare scrumptious meals quickly.
